I first learned leather craft from my parents when I was growing up. We belonged to a historical re-enactment group called Upper Canada Rifles Association. We held rendesvous and demonstrations all over Ontario including Black Creek Pioneer Village, Historical Fort York and Nancy's Island to name a few.
I learned how to make buckskin items mostly such as pants, war shirts and possibles bags.
We had a lot of fun! It was too bad that our group started to split apart.

I started Crazy Canadian Leather in Tokyo, Japan making leather goods in an outdoor fleamarket in Inogashira Park. I didn't make a lot of profit at first, but I got a lot of practice and learned how to make a wide range of products including wallets, bags, phone cases and belts.
In 2002 I had the opportunity to work for a Japanese leathercraft company called Parley which was good for me because I learned to improve not just my leatherworking skills, but also my Japanese speaking ability. But it wasn't long before I went independant and established by own brand.
Between 2003 and 2008 I found 4 store chains specializing is fashion accessories who accepted my goods for resale; Skinhead Silver, Kelly's Labo, Three-Nine and Crimson Chain.
In June 2008, my family and I returned to Canada and now live in Richmond Hill, Ontario. I have begun re-establishing my brand. This year, I began doing custom leather work for a major denim designer brand. I still take custom orders from individuals and plan to open a new work studio, open to the public in the very near future.
